TerryScan is designed local-first. This page explains, in plain language, how the app handles your documents and data. This is a draft policy and should be reviewed by legal counsel before public launch.

Documents you scan

Documents you scan with TerryScan are stored locally on your device by default. Core scanning, cropping, filtering and PDF/JPG export are designed to work without sending your document contents to a server.

Accounts

No mandatory account is required to use TerryScan's core features.

Advertising

TerryScan does not include an advertising SDK.

OCR and Pro features

Where technically feasible, OCR text recognition is processed on-device. Pro purchases are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play Billing.

Analytics

Any analytics collected are kept minimal and are not used to collect the contents of your documents.
